Hossam El Farouk Ahmed Sallam is Partner & Country Director DAMSON Group (Egypt). He is a Blue Ocean Strategy consultant and has 25+ years of international experience in countries including UAE, KSA, Egypt, Europe, UK, Africa & USA. He worked in multiple industries including Telecoms & PTTs, Banking, Financial & Insurance, Government Sectors, Oil & Gas/Maritime & Shipping and Start-Ups & Growth sectors. He achieved sales targets from $1.5 million to $25 million with high net profit and gross margins year on year.

Hossam worked with Skolera (Egypt) as General Manager. Skolera Software Development - MEA is a Unified Learning Platform that utilizes the latest educational approaches and technology. It was ranked No. 4 worldwide in 2019 as leading LMS provider by eLearning Industry. Hossam created 3 years business plan, sales organization, Go-To-Market strategy, strategy execution, sales, marketing and Channel Programme across the Middle East, Africa, Turkey and GCC. He introduced Skolera's Digitals transformation solutions in Schools with EdTech Market Leaders.

Hossam also served as Sales Director with Innovera Middle East which is one of the leading Education Technology solutions providers across the Middle East Region, and is the main distributor of Promethean. The company is considered one of the top EdTech providers for the Ministry of Education in Egypt. In this capacity, Hossam reported directly to the CEO, heading the Private Sector & Channel, and achieved a total revenue worth EGP 18 million during 5 months period.

Hossam also worked with The Freedonia Group as Blue Ocean Strategy & Management Consultant where he completed 2 projects within the Oil & Gas/Petroleum Sector covering GCC & MEA regions. He also worked as Director of Business Development, Sales & General Manager, and Advisor to the CEO of European Technology company based in Dubai, UAE. In addition to his role as Independent Strategy Consultant, he worked with number of start-up companies and investors to help them set up their operations in MEA region and identified qualified opportunities within major industry sectors across MEA region. He provided complete consultancy services from Go-To-Market Strategy, Business planning and feasibility study.

He has also worked as Council Member at GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) in Dubai and as Chief of Business Development & General Manager at Silah Gulf. He expanded the company's client portfolio throughout UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and established a new UAE branch with sole managerial responsibility including P&L. He had the full responsibility for Marketing with a budget of up to $115K.

As Regional Sales Director & Channel Manager at EasyLink Services International Ltd. in Dubai, he lead a team of Account Managers and was responsible for developing business opportunities within the BFIS, Oil & Gas and Maritime & Shipping industires, particularly focussing on the SME market. Here he created a new channel programme focussing on the Telecoms market, generating $1 million in revenue. He also introduced new products including Secure e-Statements, MFT, Web-EDI and email-2-SMS.

Hossam also worked as Senior Account Manager at Emirates Busniess Machines (eBM) in Dubai, where he exceeded targets by 15% by achieving revenue of $2.7 million. Earlier, as Account Manager, Hossam was able to grow sales revenue from $70K to $1.2 million in just 2 years.

As Area Sales Manager for Middle East & Africa at Printronix Inc, he provided advanced, business-critical printing solutions to blue-chip clients through Line Matrix, Thermal and RFID products, using technology considered to be cutting edge at that time. He qualified and recruited 10 new channel partners and resellers throughout the MEA region, managed complex sales processes through such major OEM partners as IBM, and achieved revenue growth from $2.75 million to $3.4 million within 18 months.

Hossam did his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Architectural Engineering with specialization in Public Buildings from Alexandria University. He is also Professional Member of Egypt Syndicate of Engineers.
